Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst drives AMC’s Financial Systems Strategy by elevating data integrity, strengthening master data governance, and advancing business intelligence across key platforms, including BPC, Bex, Salesforce, Power BI, and emerging MDM/BI tools.
Key responsibilities include administering BPC, building impactful Power BI visualizations, enhancing data quality and governance, optimizing system configurations, and delivering end‑user training. This role leads project-based initiatives by transforming abstract issues into clear workstreams, managing deliverables, and partnering across functions to push projects to completion—all without requiring formal authority.
- Support Core Reporting Processes: Assist with recurring financial and operational reporting cycles, including data validations, volumetric close activities, and pre-close reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Improve Data Integrity: Monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies, and collaborate with sites and cross-functional partners to resolve issues and strengthen data governance.
- Develop BI Reporting & Dashboards: Build and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Analyze Trends & Provide Insights: Conduct data reviews, analyze performance trends, and deliver clear, actionable insights to stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and corporate teams.
- Support System Enhancements: Assist with system updates, integrations, and conversions by participating in testing, validating data impacts, and ensuring reporting continuity.
- Create Ad Hoc Reporting: Develop timely ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision-making and operational needs.
- Act as a Data Steward: Help define consistent data standards, escalate issues as needed, and contribute to improved data governance processes.
- Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows, automate manual processes, and enhance data accuracy across business units.
- Provide Training and Support: Assist end users with reporting tools and dashboards to promote data-driven decision making.
What Experience and Education You Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree: In Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years in reporting, analytics, data management, or business intelligence.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel; experience with BI tools such as Power BI, SmartView, Salesforce, or similar.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to work with complex data sets and translate findings into clear insights.
- Programming/Querying: Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or comparable languages.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to partner cross-functionally and support project-based work.

- Systems Experience: Exposure to Oracle, SmartView, Salesforce, master data tools, or warehouse management systems.
- Data Governance Knowledge: Understanding of master data management and data quality best practices.
- Communication Skills: Clear, professional communication with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Organization: Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments.
- Process Improvement: Experience automating reports or enhancing data workflows.
