Americold Internship Experience (AIE):
The Americold Summer Internship Experience is a 12-week, full time, paid internship that takes place over the summer term in various locations throughout the country. The internship opportunity will afford our interns to better understand the supply chain industry, work on challenging and industry-specific projects, plus the ability to collaborate with organizational leaders, colleagues, and peers.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll gain hands-on experience working with technologies like Java, React, DocumentDB, AWS, PL/SQL, and modern web-based frameworks focused on digital transformation.
Assist in designing and developing software solutions based on need and functional specifications.
Help translate technical requirements into system designs and working code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to learn best practices in software development
Key Responsibilities:
Works closely with Functional/Systems Analyst to develop and document technical designs from functional requirements/specifications, considering architectural, as well as programmatic aspects of the agreed-upon solution.
Prepares and validates time estimates for program modifications, enhancements, new application software, or any other technology requirements. Follows appropriate internal processes, as well as established industry standards for software design.
- Develops software based on approved design. Writes new programs or creates modifications to existing applications as necessary based on project requirements. Follows appropriate internal processes, as well as established industry standards for software coding, documentation, and code management.
- Creates test plans, test files, and scripts for unit testing through integration testing. Performs testing as required & documents results. Follows appropriate internal processes, as well as established industry standards for software testing.
- Follows appropriate change management and implementation procedures. Ensures that appropriate technical and functional documentation is prepared.
What Experience You Need:
- Pursuing Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong communication skills, listening and questioning for understanding
- Excellent technical skills including a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Self-starter with a desire to learn and contribute meaningfully.
What could set you apart:
- Experience in developing digital transformation apps using AWS technologies like: Java, React, DocumentDB, AWS Technologies, PL/SQL, CloudWatch & GitHub.
- Knowledge of Software Development and Design Pattern
Understanding of supply chain and warehouse management
