What you’ll Do

As the National Safety and Compliance Specialist, based at our Auckland site in Wiri. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring Americold meets all food safety and health & safety compliance requirements across our operations. You’ll lead internal and external audits, drive continuous improvement programs, and partner with regulatory bodies and internal teams to maintain the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for external audit authorities (MPI, SQF, YUM, WOW, etc.).
  • Represent Americold during all external compliance audits.
  • Ensure internal compliance training and SOPs are implemented and maintained.
  • Conduct internal audits and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Support onboarding of compliance requirements for new customers.
  • Attend Health, Safety & Environment committee meetings across sites.
  • Provide timely reporting and assist management with compliance projects.

What Experience and Education You Need

  • Have strong Communication, organisation, planning, and influencing skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Food Safety (RMP and/or SQF).
  • Qualification within Safety and or Compliance would be highly advantageous. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within warehouse/logistics operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Have experience in Coaching, development, and mentoring stakeholders with safety and compliance initiatives.
