What you’ll Do

As the Operations Manager, you will lead day-to-day warehouse operations at our Prospect NSW site. Ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of product, and delivering exceptional customer service outcomes. This role plays a critical part in driving operational performance, leading team capability, and supporting supply into high-volume convenience retail networks.

Roster: Monday to Friday (12pm – 8pm)

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead, direct and coordinate all warehouse activities, including inbound, inventory, and dispatch operations 

  • Deliver against budget, cost, productivity and service targets 

  • Monitor, review and continuously improve operational KPIs and processes 

  • Partner with the General Manager to develop and manage annual site budgets 

  • Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, and operational standards 

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, sanitation, and facility safety 

  • Lead, coach and develop supervisors and frontline teams 

  • Manage workforce planning, rostering, performance management, and employee relations 

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers 

  • Oversee inventory accuracy, stock control processes, and quality standards (including perishables) 

  • Coordinate warehouse operations with transport, sales and supply chain functions 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulatory requirements 

  • Investigate incidents, manage workplace safety programs, and support injury management processes

 

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior leadership role within a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Strong exposure to convenience retail supply chains, with experience supporting networks such as convenience/fuel retail operations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience managing supervisors and multi-level teams
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and customer service delivery
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), RF technology, and labour management tools
  • Solid understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced problem-solving, organisational and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • 3-5 years’ leadership experience in warehouse or logistics operations 

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics (preferred)
