About Us
Americold is a global provider of temperature-controlled infrastructure. What you’ll Do
As the Facilities Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the reliability of plant and equipment, infrastructure, and engineering services to support uninterrupted 24/7 warehouse operations. You’ll lead preventative maintenance programs, manage contractors, and drive efficiencies in energy usage, all while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance and asset registers.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and monitor performance against KPIs.
- Manage contractor relationships and standardise contract management processes.
- Set and control Opex and Capex budgets, tracking monthly performance.
- Ensure compliance with essential services inspections and safety standards.
- Monitor controlled temperature zones and maintain operational tolerances.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and risk-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Emergency Management Plans (EMP) from a facilities perspective.
What Experience and Education You Need
- Certificate-level qualifications or recognised industry training (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities management or maintenance leadership.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safe working practices.
- Proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and MS Office.
- Excellent problem-solving, prioritisation, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and compliance requirements.
- Refrigeration/Electrical/Mechanical trade qualifications (preferred).
- Lean Six Sigma certification (desirable).
- Current driver’s licence.
