What you’ll do
As the Finance Manager – QSR, you will be the key financial partner to operations, providing commercial insights, strategic guidance, and leadership across the QSR business. You will oversee financial performance, drive continuous improvement, and lead a small team to deliver accurate reporting and strong governance.
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to QSR operational leaders, offering financial insights and strategic recommendations.
- Build and maintain financial models to support pricing, investment decisions, and scenario analysis.
- Drive margin improvement initiatives through cost analysis, pricing evaluation, and efficiency reviews.
- Communicate complex financial data in a clear and actionable way for operational stakeholders.
Business Performance & Reporting
- Oversee weekly and monthly performance reporting, including sales, margins, and key operational KPIs.
- Lead monthly business reviews, identifying risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Ensure accurate and timely month‑end results, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Monitor key commercial arrangements such as rebates, levies, supplier recoveries, and service‑level penalties.
Operational Finance Oversight
- Provide leadership to the QSR accounting team and ensure strong financial governance.
- Ensure accuracy of stock reporting, reconciliations, and inventory valuation across QSR sites.
- Review logistics cost allocations, reverse billing, and supplier recharges.
- Maintain consistent application of accounting policies and internal controls (including SOX compliance).
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, develop, and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and partnership.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, IT, and commercial teams to support business initiatives.
- Support external audits and ensure timely responses to queries.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Drive finance transformation projects, including automation, system improvements, and process enhancements.
- Support major business projects such as new site launches, network changes, and customer growth initiatives.
- Lead finance activities for annual stock take and oversee year-end inventory roll‑forward reporting.
- Assist with other strategic and ad hoc projects as required.
What Experience and Education Do You Need?
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
CA or CPA qualified.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial finance or business partnering (FMCG/QSR/logistics preferred).
Strong knowledge of AIFRS and experience in SOX-compliant environments.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability; Oracle and AS400 WMS experience is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
