What You'll Do

You will support business leaders and associates at large or complex sites by managing HR functions including onboarding, employee and labor relations, investigations, training, recruiting, and HR administration. You will serve as a primary contact for HR-related inquiries, facilitate compliance activities, and participate in employee engagement initiatives. Travel may be required up to 25%.

Essential Functions

  • Counsel and coach managers on associate performance management and support the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Partner with local HR teams and business leaders to meet headcount goals and execute recruiting strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between corporate HR centers and site employees to address HR-related issues and facilitate special projects and events.
  • Conduct HR audits and participate in employee engagement activities to enhance workplace culture.
  • Serve as a primary contact for HR policy inquiries, conduct confidential investigations, and support the termination and exit interview process.
  • Initiate and track job requisitions, process HR transactions, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Provide backup support for payroll and HR administrative functions and compile HR reports as needed.
  • Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.

What Experience and Education You Need

  • Minimum 3 years of human resources experience required; applicable professional experience may substitute for education requirements.
  • Associate's Degree or High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with at least 3 years of daily use in a professional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and utilize HRIS systems for employee data management and reporting.
  • Verbal and written fluency in Spanish may be required in certain markets.

What Could Set You Apart

  • Familiarity with employment laws including DOL, FLSA, ADA, and EEOC.
  • Experience managing benefits, training, recruitment, safety, and wage administration in a human resources role.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven organizational skills with examples of multi-tasking and project initiation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff and external candidates, demonstrated through prior roles.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in sensitive situations.
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a team environment and upholding confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.
  • Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment.
  • Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others verbally and/or in writing.
  • May require travel by automobile and airplane for business.
  • May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
  • May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

 

The Company’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for this position is min $58,500 - $73,000 annually mid. Performance-based incentives are part of the overall compensation package. Rate may vary based on work location
