Americold is global provider of temperature-controlled infrastructure.  We partner with farmers and food producers to ensure their perishables and frozen products reach food suppliers, restaurants, and your local grocery store without spoilage.  Our customers, which include some of the most respected brands in the food industry, rely on our expertise and commitment to safety in order to delvier on their commitments.
 

At Americold we are running an exciting global technology transformation program, deploying a new EDI platform for our customer & business integrations. We are deploying a cloud solution on IBM Sterling Integrator Platform, B2Bi.

As the EDI Deployment Lead, you will partner with our global & regional teams to support customer migration to our new platform.  This role acts as the pivotal link between customers and technical teams to support Americold’s competitive positioning and customer success through the delivery of this project.

The EDI Deployment role is a key resource in our business responsible for solution design and delivery of customer integration solutions using our global EDI platforms.   
This role will have the following key responsibilities:
•    Solution design and delivery for customer integrations on our EDI platforms 
•    EDI Application Process Support  

This role works with the other team members within the Supply Chain System Group, wider I.T. associates, Infrastructure & Service Desk, Business Development, our customers and support vendors to ensure effective and value add deployments.  

What You’ll Do :

     Design 

  • Works with our customers & team members to provide analysis and input to/ prepare specifications for customer integrations
  • Guide the technical design process and ensure technical solutions address customer requirements
  • Develop programs for EDI integration projects and prepare related artifacts

 

Customer Integration 

  • Support on new partner setups and maintenance, including partner creation, testing, and validation
  • Supports connectivity setup, works with customer & network team to enable connectivity and supports testing 
  • Delivery system integration testing & lead the development approval process (change management)

 

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain EDI process documentation and customer integration documentation 

  • Ensure compliance with all I.T. Controls  (Sarbanes-Oxley).

 

Support

  • Assist in troubleshooting of EDI processes (i.e. transactions and workflows in hyper care/ project phases)

 

Project Delivery 

  • Manage software lifecycle processes in line with our Americold implementation methodologies and change framework 
  • Support the planning and delivery of all project and training documentation in line with our implementation methodology
  • Identify, manage, mitigate, and report any risks associated with the proposed development.

 

Team & Partnership

  • Interacting with business teams & customers, providing a high level of customer service
  • Supports the I.T. culture of excellence, communication and customer focus in everything we do
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned

 

What Experience and Education You Need :

  • Relevant university degree (Preferred)
  • Advanced Degree such as MS or MBA (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Americold supply chain systems, particularly in Power/ P2 and EDI
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant area, Information Technology and Development preferred
  • 4-5 years’ experience in IT/Development

  • Warehouse/Distribution industry

  • Experience in IBM EDI Products - Sterling Integrator and Sterling B2Bi
