What you’ll Do
•    Take appropriate action to maintain the integrity of the Health and Food Safety system. This includes initiating an annual Food Safety review with senior management, as well as monthly updates provided to senior management on the implementation and maintenance of the Health and Food Safety programs.
•    Perform daily monitoring activities for the Health and Food Safety programs including Verification, Validation, Audit, and Recordkeeping to ensure facility’s continuous compliance with various regulatory requirements.
•    Participate in food safety and other regulatory audits.
•    Provides guidance and leadership to the site management team to support consistent execution of Food Safety and Health & Safety expectations.
•    Inform management of all significant non-conformities and take action to maintain the integrity of the Health and Food Safety programs.
•    Supports and implements processes to reduce associate injuries, minimize lost‑time incidents.
•    Supports site management in Worker’s Compensation cases within New Brunswick.
•    Responsible for identifying food safety, quality, health, and sanitation training needs. 
•    Models and promotes a strong culture of food safety and employee safety through actions, communication, and support.
•    Assists with the completion of all regulatory reporting requirements for New Brunswick as they relate to Health and Food Safety.
•    Holds associates and Senior Site Management accountable for Food Safety and Health & Safety performance within their areas of responsibility.
 

What Experience and Education You Need:

• Associate’s degree required
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience
• Complete a HACCP training course 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Knowledge of food safety and safety training management.
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining SQF certification and HACCP plans and Health & Safety programs.
• Knowledge of Provincial standards and regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in science-related field
• Experience in warehouse or transportation industry preferred.

• Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management.
