What you’ll Do

As the Facilities Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the reliability of plant and equipment, infrastructure, and engineering services to support uninterrupted 24/7 warehouse operations. You’ll lead preventative maintenance programs, manage contractors, and drive efficiencies in energy usage, all while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed maintenance and asset registers.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Manage contractor relationships and standardise contract management processes.
• Set and control Opex and Capex budgets, tracking monthly performance.
• Ensure compliance with essential services inspections and safety standards.
• Monitor controlled temperature zones and maintain operational tolerances.
• Identify and implement cost-saving and risk-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Emergency Management Plans (EMP) from a facilities perspective.

What Experience and Education You Need

• Certificate-level qualifications or recognised industry training (or equivalent experience). 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities management or maintenance leadership. 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safe working practices. 
• Proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and MS Office. 
• Excellent problem-solving, prioritisation, and time management skills. 
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and compliance requirements. 
• Refrigeration/Electrical/Mechanical trade qualifications (preferred). 
• Lean Six Sigma certification (desirable). 
• Current driver’s licence.
